Happy New Year everyone! It's been 2015 here for a while now, but I know some of you are still waiting for the calendar to flip :) I hope 2014 was a good year for you, and that 2015 will be even better! :D
Here are the nails I wore last night! (And my super-fierce Black Milk tiger leggings!)
These are actually nail strips I got about a year ago--they are by OPI and are called Metallic Waves. One could easily recreate the look by painting on a glittery base, and then stamping or painting these zebra-esque strips over it! I so rarely use nail strips, preferring to create my own looks, but I do like to pull them out for special occasions or if I need to get my nails done in a hurry. This qualified as both!
But I did want to jazz them up, so I used white acrylic paint and my trusty detail brush to write 2015 on the ring finger. The plain white looked too stark compared to the background, so I then used the same brush to put a little of China Glaze Snowglobe over the top of the numbers. That's better!
They were nice and shiny on their own, but to make them last (and to seal in the paint), I added a coat of Seche Vite on top.
