Rainbow Flowers! | My Favourite BPS Review to date

You guys have kind of picked up on the fact that I love rainbows, right? Colourful things make me so happy, so when I got my latest batch of Born Pretty Store goodies to review, I snatched these up like it was a bag of Skittles. Which I'm also obsessed with. Because they're delicious (and, coincidentally, rainbow-coloured). But yeah. Rainbow flower and feather nail stickers! They're beautiful!

Shimmery Rainbow Birthday Marble!

Hel-lo! Man, what an insanely busy few days! My birthday was the 16th, and as you guys know, I love rainbows and sparkles. I bought a brightly-coloured rainbow dress to wear for my special day, and did these shimmery marbled nails to go with it!

These didn't come out quite the way I expected, but I'm still quite pleased with them--especially the thumbnail! If I did it again I'd use a different orange, but I think they're still great. Read on for the deets!

Neon Gradient with BPS Star Decals

Hullo! I'm so excited about today's mani! It's rainbowy and sparkly and starry and awesome!

This design Lisa Frank would be proud of is done with some bright Orly polishes, a little glitter, and some water decals from Born Pretty Store. Let's get on with it! :D

Fuchsia Glitterbomb

Heya! Sometimes, when inspiration is a bit lacking, you just need something sparkly! If there's one thing I learned from Rebecca, it's that there's nothing quite like a glitterbomb for those times :D

#31DC2014 - Day 9 - RAINBOW nails

Today's manicure is for day 9 of the challenge, and it comes from somewhere over the rainbow. A glittery one :D

Outdoors in sun

The base is a coat of Color Club Beyond, which I felt was a great base for my glittery rainbow since it's full of rainbows on its own :D

The glitters are all from Born Pretty Store. I have the 12-pack of assorted colours, and used nine of them for this--red, orange, yellow, light green, emerald green, blue, dark blue, lavender, and pink. No violet or purple unfortunately, but I think it still works! Glitter-placement manis can be so relaxing. It's not even really as time-consuming as it looks! (It might be if I went for perfectly straight lines, but...)

Topped with Maya's Smoothing Coat for Glitters, and then Seche Vite.

One more outdoors in sun. It was hard getting a shot that *didn't* have crazy reflective light streaks everywhere!

This is another one that I really hate to take off so soon. I'd totally wear this one for days if I could. But alas, time marches on, and the 31-day challenge does as well. So check back tomorrow for some gradient nails on day 10! xoxo

Delush-ous Pastel Rainbow Marble

Hiya! today I am very happy to show off my latest polish haul! Well, kinda. I don't have swatches, because honestly, I find plain swatching to be boring. That's why you don't see many posts like that on here! But Cris from Let Them Have Polish! did a wonderful swatch set of the Essence of Summer collection by Delush Polish, and two things happened for me immediately: 1) I fell in love with them, and 2) I got an enormous urge to do a water marble with them. So I ordered, and they arrived a few days ago. You should really check out her swatches, as each shade is BEAUTIFUL and looks stunning alone. But here's what they look like together in a marble!

Acid Zebra Vacation Nails

Hello, beautiful!

I just spent an incredible weekend in Melbourne! I hadn't been there before, but I'm absolutely addicted to travelling and seeing new places. It was great! I saw Little Penguins, and went to the top of the tallest building in the southern hemisphere, and went to cute little bars and cafes to my heart's content. I might move there next! It's brilliant.

Naturally, I wanted some cute nails for my trip.

You guys know I love rainbows :D so here's my take on the Acid Zebra look!

EDC-Inspired Water Marble with Butterflies

Inverted Galaxy Mani

Hi everyone! Happy Easter!

Today's design is not overly Eastery, but it's an idea that involves pastels and glitter that I've wanted to try for a while--an "inverted-colour" galaxy manicure!

Happy Paddy's Day! Pot o' Gold in Shamrocks

Hi everyone! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Nobody seems to celebrate here, which is a shame. Oh well. I had enough drinks to make up for the less festive folks around me ;)

I painted a field of shamrocks swaying in a gentle breeze, basking in the sunlight after a rainstorm, and for the accent--the resulting rainbow + treasure at the end of it...

The sky-blue background is Revlon Colorstay #170 Coastal Surf. The rainbow is some assorted polishes I can't be bothered naming off, but I've used them all before--they're Revlon, CoverGirl, and Sally Hansen basic cremes :) The pot and the shamrocks were done with acrylic paint an a small brush. Lastly, the gold in the pot! It's mostly the glitter polish you see in the photo--Milani Jewel FX Gold--but I added a few slightly larger gold pieces from Born Pretty Store:

An actual pot of gold. I couldn't not use it!

If you look carefully, you can see a few pieces that fell out around the pot and are hiding in the grass :)

I sealed in all the glitters and paints with two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

In shade. I love how the gold stands out! You can see the bits in the grass better here, too.

And one more, to show how shiny the glitters are! *insert anime-esque shine sound effect* sshhhhiiinnng!

Thus concludes my St. Patrick's manis for this year! I'm debating on what to do next... it's technically autumn here now, but it still feels like summer, and I have a really cute idea for a spring design. I think I'm having a... season crisis?
