I Love London! | Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Review

Good day! I have one more BPS stamping plate to show you today. It's all British-themed, so I used some appropriate colours and as many images from it as I could to create this cute mani!

So, this is the last of the plates Born Pretty Store sent me. Isn't it adorable?

For not the first time in my life, I cursed my bad luck at not owning any Butter London polishes with which to do this design, before grabbing Revlon #120 Red Carpet and #730  Royal (blue) instead. I sponged these randomly over a white base to create a speckled look, and then dabbed on a thin coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. Because, who can resist glitter?

(I didn't get a photo at this stage, because I am a naughty blogger and I forgot. But trust me, it looked super cool.)

I used Konad white special polish to stamp several images from this plate, as you can see. I was worried about the large sections of the images transferring properly, but they came out quite well! With some careful scraping technique, I really only had the slight problem of image distortion on the squishy stamper I use--which is a user problem, not a plate problem. It's perfect, at least the etching is. Look how big the images are! I'll never be able to use Big Ben, which is a shame, but I did manage to get the flag by stamping it across two nails. That's what I get for having tiny nail beds...

I used a small brush to touch up the white, and then add a silver border (that's Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Celeb City) around the flag to make it stand out a little more. And last, but not least, Seche Vite sealed it all in place and adds a lovely shine.

I really love this one! Even if the wee bobby looks a bit off-kilter on my thumbnail. It just makes him more loveable.

See what I mean about the size of that tower? Even on my largest nail it would never work. (THAT'S WHY THEY CALL IT BIG BEN, HAR HAR)

This plate, along with tons of others, can be found on the Born Pretty Store website! Remember to use discount code CITYG10 to get your 10% discount :)

I hope you love this one as much as I do. Thanks for reading! See you next time! xoxo
