Sheer Black French with Silver "Dagger" Accent, and I'm a Flippin' Fashion Designer Now

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade add tequila and salt and have a party :D

When life gives you a broken corner, file that shiz into a point and roll with it.

I kind of love that pic. Read on for more details!

So, the ring finger. That happened. Last time I broke a corner I filed them all into "almond" shapes for a while, but I didn't really like that. When I snapped a corner off here at a perfect angle peaking in the centre, I figured it was a sign--but just went for the accent this time, going for a fairly sharp point. Edge? Stiletto? Stiletto-esque? It looks like a sword blade to me.

Mirror-powder nails are all the rage right now! I don't have any yet, but I still wanted to fit in. My Born Pretty Store Mirror Polish is close enough, yeah?

For the rest of the nails, I wanted to go kinda sexy--so I used my home-made sheer black as a base and added tips with Cult Nails Nevermore, the best black creme to ever exist. It's been a little while since I used this sheer base, and it got a little thick. Even with some thinner added, it's patchy in places--but nothing noticeable in real life :)

You can definitely see the problems with the base here. Ssshhh, I won't tell if you don't.

Unlike before when I've tried this chrome polish, I finally have a good topcoat that doesn't dull the metallic shine and dries hard and strong. This Unt Sun Envy stuff is ah-mazing!

I added the bow (also from Born Pretty) with a drop of nail glue.

Woah, Amanda. What is that awesome thing you're holding with pixel-art nail polish on it?

That would be my first (but definitely not last) project on Print All Over Me! This site lets you upload your own designs and print it on clothing, bags, scarves, anything. I got the idea after watching the fabulous Annika Victoria do a video tutorial on it. It came out so well! I was blown away by the quality of the print and fabric of this linen scarf I chose to print my nail polish bottles onto.

I should have gotten a photo of me wearing it... I'll get one up on Instagram soon. But yeah. This site is totally worth checking out. If you like this nail polish scarf, you can get one for yourself here--or play around and design your own!

Long post! I hope you enjoyed both the nails and the scarf. I'm currently rocking 'em both together. Let me know what you think below, and I'll see you next time! xoxo

  1. Having read this I thought it was extremely informative. I appreciate you spending some
time and effort to put this short article together.
I once again find myself personally spending way too much time
both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!
